The Super Aankhu Khola Hydropower Project (25.4 MW) is a flagship initiative of Gorakshya Hydropower Limited, aimed at harnessing Nepal’s abundant hydropower potential to generate sustainable and clean energy. Located on the Aankhu Khola River, this project is designed to contribute significantly to Nepal’s energy grid while promoting economic development in the region.

Project Overview

Super Aankhu Khola Hydropower Project utilizes a run-of-the-river design, ensuring minimal environmental impact while efficiently generating electricity. With an installed capacity of 25.4 MW, the project is expected to produce approximately 150 GWh of energy annually, addressing Nepal’s growing energy demand and reducing reliance on imported electricity. The project has been meticulously planned to align with global standards for environmental sustainability and operational efficiency. Gorakshya Hydropower Limited, with a paid-up capital of NPR 583 million (as of mid-July 2023), has garnered support from key investors, including Pushpalal Investment Company Limited, which holds a 6% shareholding.
